Lauren Goldman, AIA | Founder

Lauren Goldman established l'oro designs in 2012. Since its founding, her work has been featured by publications such as Dwell, CA Home & Design, and Modern Sanctuary.  Her practice is centered in the Bay Area, where she has designed homes and led remodeling projects from the Peninsula to San Francisco, and north of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin and Wine Country.  She previously practiced at architecture firms in San Francisco, Palo Alto, and New York City.  Her passion is creating spaces for family life that is beautiful, comfortable, and functional.  Lauren was raised in Palo Alto and now lives in Mill Valley with her husband and their three children. On weekends you will find her running, swimming, and hiking - except in the winter, when she may be on the slopes in Tahoe. She received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan and later earned a Master's in Architecture from University of California at Berkeley.

Megan Jones, AIA

Megan Jones has collaborated with Lauren since 2010.  In 2014, she was the first person to join l'oro full time. Her attention to detail and experience in construction is a well known with contractors, and was nourished from an early age with her childhood experience helping to build her family home. Having been raised in Northeastern Wyoming, she is a mountain girl at heart and enjoys exploring the outdoors with her husband, two young boys, and their dogs. She earned her Bachelor of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo.

Megan Burton

Megan Burton joined l'oro designs in 2018. Since 2011, she has designed high-end residential and hospitality projects around the world. From a young age, Megan has loved all things related to home building and renovating, and had a natural wanderlust. Her love for travel led her to study abroad in Copenhagen, Denmark, which refined her design sensibilities, including her passion for livability in design. She and her husband live in San Francisco's North Beach neighborhood. On weekends, they can be found working on their DIY renovation in Lake Tahoe and enjoying the outdoors. Megan grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and came to San Francisco after earning her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona.
